Pauper is the easiest format to get started in. If you have played modern or legacy you probably have some of the "expensive" cards that are in pauper and if you haven't then it will only cost you the price* of 2 to 3 Æther Vials. For new players or someone who is not ready to spend that much money on a deck I have created 5 mono colored decks that can be bought in paper on TCGplayer for under $35* and still win games. There is a deck for each on of the five colors, White, Blue, Black, Green, and Red. They are either modifications of existing decks in the meta or brews that steal games.
This mono white tokens list tries to flood the board with as many tokens as possible. Then pump them with some anthems(spells that boost the power and toughness of many creatures) and swing for the win. The soul sisters are there to gain you some life to stabilize you against some faster decks.
This mono blue tempo deck wants to control the flow (or tempo) of the game long enough to play and start swinging in with efficient and evasive creatures. Controlling the flow of the game means you control what your opponent can and can not play. This will come in the form of disrupting your opponents game plan and ensuring that they do not do the same to you. The hope is that by the end you will be having fun while your opponent has sat there and not played magic.
This deck embodies the essence of black cards. Play creatures and then sacrifice them for great value. There are multiple way you can go with this deck but one thing is for sure, by the end you will have one if not two very large creatures to crush your opponent with.
Lots of mana and lots of creatures. That is how this deck rolls. If you enjoy creatures then this is the deck for you, every turn you will be playing multiple creatures and subsequently slashing through your opponents health.
Who doesn't enjoy winning before your opponent even knew that the game had started? This deck can do, well, almost just that. This goblin deck is fast and furious, throwing down creatures like its nobodies business and then trampling all over your opponents face.
